Depression After Parting

Parting is always a difficult period of time. When it happens it seems that the world has finished its existence. The daily life acquires dark colors and nothing seems to cheer up the way it was before. All the past feelings are still so close and usual that it's impossible to accept the current situation. The brain just rejects the word 'parting'. If this situation is familiar to you, then read this article till the end and make the corresponding conclusions.

- Firstly, let you believe that not everything is lost till the end. Otherwise it will be too difficult for you to accept the truth so quickly. Let some time pass. You need to calm down and to find other activities which will fill in the emptiness.

- Try to communicate more with your friends and close people. Don't close in yourself. You need to express your thoughts. If you have no close friends who you can share your thoughts with, it is better to address to a psychologist. In some severe cases you may be prescribed antidepressants. But don't take them without a prior consultation.

- It is very important to find an activity which will be really interesting to you. It can be whatever. Sport, walkings, conversations, hobbies, etc. Remember that there are lots of things besides your ex-lover. The world is interesting, and this is a true fact.

- Don't hurry up to find a 'replacement' of your ex-lover. You need time to calm down and overcome this difficult situation till the end. You will simply not have enough energy and positive emotions for the next relationship.

- Don't worry your ex-lover. Try not to bother him/her at all. Pretend he/she has left for another city. It will be easier for you in this case to stop the communication. Anyway, accept that this communication won't lead now to the positive results, as you have different points of view and nobody is ready to relinquish.
Parting is compared to a 'little death'. But even real death is possible to overcome. So, this little death is just a step in your life which will certainly lead to the opening of another page – a better one.
